FAQ

Web design refers to the creation and maintenance of websites. There are different areas of web design that all focus on providing a positive or enjoyable experience for the visitor.

Web design focuses primarily on how a website looks and feels to the visitor (the frontend). Web development is carried out behind the scenes, and typically involves developing software, building the site’s structure and fixing bugs (the backend).

Web design is important because it can affect your business performance. A poorly-designed website that’s hard to use will reflect badly on your business, and could negatively impact your sales. Alternatively, a professionally-designed, user-friendly website should help to keep visitors on your site and increase sales.

For example: we can create a bilingual site in Japanese and English  that contains all the important things you need to showcase your restaurant: the type of cuisine, food images, menus, operating hours, reservations, location, contact, and anything else that you think is important.

EasyWeb can create an attractive one-page bilingual Japanese and English site for you even if your budget is limited. You can find your own Internet provider or we can do that for you at a reasonable price.
A basic 1-page website with just a few images starts at ¥50,000 ($375).

Yes, there are but they are minimal.
(1)  Hosting (What EasyWeb pays our Internet provider (Hostgator) for web hosting service: Annual cost = ¥3,200 ($24)
(2)  Your website domain name (URL) registration: Annual cost =¥1,600 ($12)
These fees (above) are necessary for your site to become live online.
(3)  Technical website maintenance (monitoring software updates, security, infrastructure, etc.)  Maintenance is very important to ensure that your site is running smoothly and is updated on a regular basis: Cost per month = ¥10,000 ($75)
We will give you a complete estimate breakdown for your new site once we receive all the necessary data from you.

Yes, in English and Japanese. Your site can show English and Japanese together or we can create separate sites (subdomains), one each for English and Japanese.

Easy Web has experience with restaurants and small businesses (bars, izakayas, bakeries, hair salons, retail shops). We also create personal sites (blogs, CVs).

We will work very closely with you to ensure that you are happy with your site. You will have equal input on what your site ultimately looks like.

We check that the text meets all your requirements, i.e., all text is translated and spell checked, terminology is consistent, and the text is linguistically correct and localized for your target audience.

Ideally, we would need an exported file from the system that hosts the website, containing the text to be translated. This saves time for you and us. If we only have a Word file containing the text to be translated, this will involve much more work for us and you. First of all, someone will have to sit and copy all the text from the website, and then you will have to paste the translation back into the CMS (Content Management System) once the text has been translated. If you cut and paste yourself, there is also a risk that you will miss pages and text that needs to be translated.

We have technology to easily import and export texts for translation for many of the major CMS systems, such as WordPress. But no matter which system you use, we will always try to find the most time-efficient and cost-efficient solution. Often the IT department or the person responsible for the website at the company will be best placed to export the text from the website.

The time required depends on how much data is involved (text, images). A basic 1-page site can be created in 5 business days or less if we have the necessary data from you. More complicated sites will of course take longer to create. A site with just a few pages and basic design features will depend on the type of functionality you want, and the general size of the project

That is also important to us. We will work closely with you while your site is designed. Your input is vital for a successful site.
